Candi Borobudur: Indonesian Heritage

Candi Borobodur is the biggest Budha Monument in the World, It was built by King Samaratungga from Wangsa Syailendra in the year 824. According to Kayumwungan prasasti, an Indonesian man named Hudaya Kandahjaya said that Borobudur is a religious place that built in 26 May 824,  This candi is located in Magelang Central Java, on hill areas between of two mountain, Sindoro Sumbing Mountain at North West and Merbabu Mountain at North East.

Rupadhatu layer
The Borobudur has 10 floor with 42 meters height before renovation, now it has 34,5 meter because the foundation built in the lowest ground. Candi Borobudur has 2672 relief panel on it's wall and originally has 504 Budha statue. You could read the relief by walking clockwise starting from the left of candi entrance. It told the story of Legendary Ramayana.All of the relief have the meanings of the Budha teachings and trying to educate people who really want to learn about the Budha teachings.

On third floor
In this Candi consist of three layers, there are Kamadhatu, Rupadhatu and Arupadhatu. Kamadhatu is the lowest of the Candi which it's mean that the world conquered with the lowest lust. That layer mostly covered by the stone to strengthen the Candi construction. It was about 160 reliefs that visualize the Kharmawibangga news, but some of now close off. Rupadhatu is almost the same like other but it has the four alley, the wall has 1300 relief told the story of Rupadhatu when the world can escape from its lust but still bind figures and forms. The last layer is Aruphadatu which there is no relief on it's wall. It told the story that when world has escaped from every lust but could not reach the Nirvana.

There are village nearby the Candi Borobudur there are Karang Anyar and Wanurejo. The villager daily activity is making some handicraft that you could buy some of them for your souvenir.
